Please be advised:

1) Pregnancy- Please notify the Radiologist / Technician / Nurse if you are a pregnant woman or think you may be pregnant. CT Scan is contraindicated
in pregnancy.
2) Allergies- Please notify us if you have any allergies or if you had any past history of allergies to any medication, contrast dye, iodine etc. or history of Asthma.
3) Metallic Cardiac Implants- Please notify us if you have pacemaker, metallic heart valves and metallic heart Implants as these are contraindicated for undergoing MRI.
4) Medical History- Please get all the old x-rays, Ultrasound, CT & MRI films along with the other papers, operative notes, discharge card, etc. relevant to the case.
5) Serum Creatinine- For contrast scan, serum creatinine (blood test) report not less than 90 days old is required. This blood test can also be done in our center.
6) Fasting- For all contrast studies, 3-4 hours fasting by the patient is mandatory. If you are a Diabetic, please talk to us.

It typically takes 15 to 30mins, depending on the type of scan.

We offer a wide bore scanner that is bigger, faster and more detailed than a traditional open MRI. All our MRI scanners are fully lit, ventilated and
open on both sides. For some studies you may not need to have your head inside the scanner at all.

A Computerized Tomography(CT) Scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles around your body and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images(slices) of the body part under study.

CT Scan is advised when benefits of an accurate diagnosis far outweighs the risk associated with radiation. Our CT scanners features the latest
technology and imaging protocols, allowing us to use the lowest possible amount of radiation needed for each CT examination.

For some MRI/CT studies, a contrast agent may be injected into your vein to help obtain a clearer picture. However please talk to us if you have any allergies or if you had any past history of allergies to any medication, contrast dye, iodine etc. or history of Asthma.
It is normal to feel a warm sensation as the contrast dye makes its way through your system.
